Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Stone chip protection

Hi all, I think I have seen clear plastic stone chip prevention / protector thingies on some cars, they seem to be heavy grade (0.5 to 1mm thick??) clear plastic, and stuck on with adhesive. They seem to be designed for the vehicle model and fit the bodywork contours, they go under the sills and up into/onto the wheel arch. Cant find anything like it on line; have I imagined these, where can I get them and what are they called? I'm getting the stone chip damage and rust sorted on my MkII and want to keep it looking good for as long as possible, so any other suggestions welcome (not keen on mud flaps, we're not in the 1990s now ). Thanks, Sam.
  2. Hi. Does anybody know of a UK based website that does interior protection for the dashboard and doors. I have seen a few American based sites but these are all left hand drive (obviously) and was thinking of having a go myself with an offcut of old carpet. I am a full-time wheelchair user and my last car looked like a wild dog had attacked it inside by the time I had gotten rid of it! Anybody know of such a site or even a shop that sells this I would be most grateful. Thanks, John.
  3. Rimblades?

Hi there, Got new 17" black alloys but I'm beside myself worrying I'll kurb them so I've decided I need to invest in some sort of protection. Was looking around and came across rimblades - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_922523_langId_-1_categoryId_246902 Has anyone ever used these (or similar products)? Do they look tacky? Are they easily removable? Ultimately my goal is to get a similar look to this - http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/l503/southerngirl10/20110511_20.jpg (Going to paint the brake calipers red). Cheers
  4. Mud Flaps...

Hi guys, This might be a bit of a silly question, but how exactly do yo fit mud flaps like these? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-MUDFLAPS-ESCORT-FIESTA-FOCUS-MONDEO-Mk1-Mk2-ST-RS-2000-Mk3-Mk4-Mk5-/320917620544?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ab82e4740#ht_908wt_1270 I quite fancy these but just not totally sure on how they fit...
