Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Grand C-Max

I have a 2012 Grand C-Max 2.0 TDI For some reason the lights on the Near Side turns off after a while, leaving only the Dim lights on, Indicator and mirror light still works. Lights that goes off (rear brake & park lights & Front park light) I have checked all the lights but i have no blown bulbs, what else could it be. Its my first ford, but I know that this is a symptom of a problem but I do not know where to look.
  2. Hi all Maybe someone can help me. My ford fiesta fun 99 dash lights failed. Later we realised that the rear lights and reverse lights also failed. I found a 10 amp fuse which blew, and 1 reverse light (also blown). I exchanged these and checked all other fuses, but the lights aren't working still. I only have indicators on both sides in the rear that work. I also checked the wiring and can't see any exposed wires. I don't know where else to check

Hi all! My Fiesta's warranty expires tomorrow I think! I have some condensation in the rear lights, could a seal have gone? Should I ring Ford asap to see if they can do anything? Is it a major problem? If I dont get it sorted, how much could it cost? THANK YOU!!
  4. It is interesting how many Fusions have bad water ingress in the rear lights. Mine is a 2009 with water in both, despite sealing the bulbholder and everything else. Looking at Ebay and scrap yards I've found most of them to be the same when you ask or examine on a wet day. Even a 2011 car with water in both lights. Is it a manufacturing problem as a local dealer said he had replaced stacks of them. Nice, as they are £100 each inc fitting or £75 if you do it yourself, and only a 12 months warranty. I have had cars all my life and never any water ingress, only plastic fading on son's 2001 car. The Fusion lights must be badly designed or very cheaply made!
  5. Focus Mk3 Rear Lights

Hi I have bought a focus mk3 and have noticed an issue with the rear lights. When I open it the lights come on. On one side the strip light in the middle comes on and not the bottom bulb. On the other side it is the bottom light that comes on and not the strip?? Is this a wiring fault or is there something I can do to fix? Cheers Jamie
  6. Lighting Problem

Hi all.....I am a newbie to your site so a big hello to all! My name is John i am from Peterlee in county Durham and today I have acquired a 2001 ford focus diesel 1.8i.... It was a bit tatty so ive cleaned it up but theres a couple of problems I am hoping I can get help with. The main issue I have is all the lights apart from the front headlights dont work. Rear lights, rear registration light dashboard light interior light side lights all dont work. Ive been told it could be the fuse but are they all connected with the same fuse or different ones?....I know theres two fuse box areas one behind the glove compartment and one in the engine so not sure which one it will be. I got no book or anything with the car so any help would be appreciated...... also theres a slight noise from the front passenger side its like a humming sound if that doesnt sound too stupid..... once again any help would be hughly appreciated
  7. I maanged to apply spivision to the front of the car, however there are a few creases with the headlights have bumps built into them.. the rear lights are even harder, the bottom of the rear lights is so aukward to do without creasing, anyone have the same problem?
