Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hello, I need to replace my horrible Arnold Clark registration plates as they are all water marked, plus they were attached using screws! (Pet hate of mine!) I can't decide if I want the thin black border outline on them or not.. I had them on my silver golf and it looked pretty good, I didn't bother with my red bmw but I think they looked pretty cheap. My fiesta is black and has the chrome front end.. basically I'm looking for some photos of your regy plates! Preferably on a black fezza! I was using the registration plate creator on Demon Plates to 'toggle' the border on and off and I can't decide. Might seem silly but I know it will annoy me if I get it wrong lol. Cheers team, Gary. PS I'll not be putting any stickers or slogans on it and I'll attached them using tape!
  2. Mk7.5 Registration Plate Lights

Hello, I've been doing a bit of reading about replacing my number plate lights on my Mk7.5 Fiesta. Has anyone got photo's of their own? When I had my golf I bought a full LED light cluster from Germany for £40 and to be fair they were cool but super bright. I don't even know if I would go for LED ones on the fiesta, it's just the standard yellow ones make it look so crap at night especially considering they fit it with drl's etc. Oh and where you got them! B) Like I say, I might even opt for brighter bulbs rather than ropy eBay led ones that break, I just want rid of the yellow! Cheers team, Gary.
  3. Registration question: How many wheels does a car normally have? Correct answer: 5 (4 + spare = 5 [or it did when I went to school!]) But - OH NO!!! - it would seem that no-one carries a 'spare' these days, and the answer is 4!
  4. Hi, I've got an old e150 dayvan , been working steadily on it for 4 yrs now , but when i sent off recently for the v5 the dvla said i need to register and apply to an owners club to keep the reg mark that is on it, but as i dont have a clue what to do, any help would be gratefully appreciated..
  5. More bad luck! I'm sorting out registrations, private plate to standard and I discover one of the bolts is threaded on the existing registration plate. So, a closer inspection to remove the boot door panel, no problem and I've done that dozens of times is the Golfs as the wiper motors always seem to die BUT its completely threaded, it just goes round and round and round.. I can't cut it because a saw blade won't fit under the head (I have around 1.5mm max play) then it will leave the rest of the screw stuck in the hole and I'd have to battle trying to get it out with molegrips. Also there's a metal wedge that appears to be glued with some type of foam that prevents you from getting to the female bit the screw goes into, however I did manage to get some molegrips attached but even giving it full force the screw is well and truly threaded
