Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  2. OK so, I love insurance renewal time! maybe I am sad... You see, I have been with the same insurers for the last four years, and each time they want to renew my policy, they charge me a lot more, so I like to play the game! For the record, I tend to go for 10 month accelerator policies, as opposed to 12 months. Today I got a letter, renewal was £758! so I jumped on the price comparison websites... Got a best price of £950'ish for a 12 month cover. Phoned up the Owners club insurance who found me an excellent deal of £630 plus all I was getting from my current insurer, but the penalty was a £450 excess (non negotiable!) I phoned up Admiral, and advised them of this better deal (much more different). Told them that I was getting all the bells and whistles with Adrian Flux, but I added in a few that Admiral hadn't yet offered me. So if I took the policy exactly as it was, they would have given me the same price of £630, whilst thats good, it wasnt good enough! So after a bit of talking I got the price to an acceptable £665, for that I got all the stuff I had before, but also got: Key Cover (£1000.00 cover) Lower Excess (£300 instead of £350) Excess will drop by £150 in January on my birthday Current Modification's included. All in all, I saved just over £70 off their renewal price and got a handful of goodies to boot! oh and if I want to add a tuning box, it will only cost me £20, unfortunately the same couldn't be said of Adrian Flux's company as they would have had to add almost £100 Goes to show, look around, and see what you can get! Year five begins...
