Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hello everyone! I've finally got around to buying more (moondust silver) paint and since I did quite a reasonable job respraying my spoiler (will supply pictures later when it's on) and I did well spraying my grilles, I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on removing the stock (fiesta mk6.5 style) wing mirror cover. I know how to paint it but removing it without breaking anything would be nice to know. Alot of my current improvements are just pot luck so with this one I'd prefer to know. Just a little add-on question also, everyone who has them painted seems to have only half of it painted (I assume due to covers being smaller) shall I paint the full back or mask it off 3/4 down like others seem to have. I hope you understand what I'm saying because it's difficult to explain lol
  2. Hello If and when I acquire a boot spoiler for my car does anyone know the sort of costs I'd be looking at to have it prepped and sprayed to match my car ( Panther Black) . I don't mind paying but I don't like getting ripped of so would like to be pre-warned for when I start phoning around. I'll fit the spoiler myself but its the painting I cant do. I'm looking at either a genuine Ford Part or a part from aftermarket . The aftermarket part is claimed to be primed and also claimed to be a perfect fit but again I don't mind paying a price as long as it looks good. Any price guides for the painting would be greatly appreciated .... I have no idea what it should cost. Thanks
  3. Fox 0 Kuga 1

SO Gutted!!! Just get the car looking the way I want it and managed to hit a fox at night on a dark country road at 50mph, Fox 0 Kuga 1, The Kuga has seen better days will need a new front bumper and the Parking sensor has been pushed in along with the drivers side indicators etc. hit the poor animal with a hell of a bang! spent today pricing up parts as i don't want to put it through the insurance as I would loose my no claims bonuses apparently. that and my excess is 450 Quid. so If i can fix it for the same or less them I will do it. So far I have found Front Bumper 250 +Vat From Quickco - Ford Parts. aka Evanshallshaw. and I would need to get it sprayed, but need a little help as I don't know anyone who could do this. I can fit it myself, I am sure may take me 3 hours tho. (I like to take my time) Any Help or advise would be great.! Cheers Alan
  4. Interior Touch

From the album My Focus MP3

Re-sprayed the dash centre fascia from silver to black and fitted new pedals and gear knob. Just needs some ST170 black and blue half leather seats now!
  5. I'm gonna get my calipers painted soon. Just wondering on what colours people think would look good. I like red but it's a bit common, also I think white would look awesome and would blend on with all my other stuff (all interior lights, puddle lights, all interior will be white soon and also I've got the white dials), the big problem with white though would be keeping them clean so it's probably a big no. Any opinions would be good and I could do with a link to some? Cheers
  6. I'm looking to take my grills and fog lights out to spray the plastic surrounds. I can get the top grill off, but am unsure how to get the bottom grill out and unsure on how the take out the plastic surround by the front fog lights. Anyone got any videos or suggestions please
