Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hi folks I've had a couple of diesel mk3 mondeos in the past but have just bought my first mk3 petrol. I seem to have a worrying whine coming from the engine, not gearbox as it does it when revved in neutral but dissappears when coasting or on tickover. It sounds close to dash on the drivers side, but I'm sure it's got to be engine related. Can anybody please point me in the direction of the first places to look for the cause? Many thanks in advance. Nick.
  2. Which Bearing?

Hi, I'd like to know if anyone of you has experienced this noise? I already replaced the front wheel bearings and the CVs are newly repacked. The only thing that I didn't touch is the intermediate bearing found in the driveshaft. I also found out that it doesn't have a boot over it. Here is a link of a video that I took. https://www.facebook.com/kanuto.san
  3. Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me a bit of advice regarding my Fiesta ST Mk6. I've had the car for a few months and have recently noticed that it sometimes makes a whining noise after being driven hard. It seems to only make the noise at low revs and makes the noise both when being reved and when its under power. The car has only got 31k on the clock and I'm always careful to wait until the car has got to full temperature before driving it hard. If driven sensibly there's no hint of the noise. I've attached a link to a video i've taken so you can hear what it sounds like. If anyone has got any suggestions or advise that would be great. http://youtu.be/YP8vfhVyfME Alex
