Not got one on mine, TDCi same as yours, never really thought about it.

Great choice of colour & engine BTW...thinks "Damn, another one the same as mine :) "

Well pleased with it so far very cheap to run compared to my focus just seems a bit sluggish can it be remapped at all or mountuned if it was a bit quicker it would be perfect deffo looks good in white just orderd the alloy pedals are they easy to fit?? :D

Remaps on the MK7 are still a debatable issue, don't seem to be readily available yet. Search here or on ZSOC, still not heard of a proven remap yet.

As for the alloy pedal caps, they are standard now on new ZS's, were still an option when I ordered mine. AFAIK they are just a push on fit.

Hi. Mine hasn't got an engine cover either and I hadn't missed it to be honest. What is the purpose of a cover ? I've had my car (hot magenta in colour) eleven months now and rate it very good indeed. What TDCI engine do you have ? Mine is a 1.6 and goes very well.

I believe they were there to suppress noise, perhaps something not so important with common rail as opposed to old indirect mechanically injected engines.

This is the first car i have owned with out a cover tbh the purpose of them is just to finish the engine off I'm not realy botherd about it it was just the dealer i got the car from told me so many lies i just didn't belive him when he said that it came without one he had already nicked the alloy pedals the new style mats off me when i picked it up they had vanished. Mine is a 1.6 diesel but just seems sluggish compared to my old focus st perhaps i was expecting to much but i don't care i'm getting 42mpg instead of 18 mpg and £35 road tax unbelievable :D :D

More weight = less speed - i can well do without the engine cover (going to give an extra 0.001MPH easily lol)

Basically it's about Ford cutting costs.

ford have made them, they can get hold of one for you if you NEED one, however they found that they mess with injectors once tested?

also, remaps are readily available, go to superchips and it is listed on their website ;) also various tuning boxes are available for the car so you can switch between economy and performance!
