Erm... I can't actually remember. I think it's whole miles  I'll have to check tomorrow.

Actually, I'm sure it's not whole miles... Argh this will annoy me now!!

There we go, I've changed it a bit. Knickers = untwisted.

Why thank you. My head hurts less now! Why on earth do you need to know anyway?

You can imagine my answer to the 3rd question ;)

Well I noticed at the weekend that the 50 mile range came up and then it was a few hundred years further up the road before the dahsboard light came on and the 'ding' went

My light comes on at bang on 50 and the 'ding' scares the crap outta me every time!

I've driven mine until about 20 miles remaining but the gauge needle was resting on empty so i dared not push it any more!

  • 1 year later...

Does anyone elses distance to empty reading just drop to 0 from nowhere!?

The last two times I've filled up I've been traveling to the petrol station at a distance to empty of about 8-10 miles, and then suddenly from nowhere it just drops straight to 0! It's really disconcerting I can tell you.

Think 50 miles is quite alot tbh, a more sensible warning would be 20 miles.

I more than often let it go to 10 miles or less before filling, so ime driving around with the fuel light on and the annoying bong for some time before refueling. Not very clever i know but the garage is only a few hundread yards down the road.

But scarily ive had it down to 0 miles, and i must say my heart was in my mouth! Luckily no splutters or anything. I think it is a failsafe anyway tbh, as top gear tested it and when the car reached 0 miles, it plodded on for a further 15 miles.

Depends on how hard you drive it as to whether it comes on bang on 50 it seems. When i first got the car it was at 50. Now after driving it economically for a while it comes on later..

At 50 mine comes on and I kind of like the chime as well because I never had a car do that before.
