I recently bought a four year old Ka, basic model, very low mileage.
I find I can feel every tiny bump in the road so sometimes get a smooth ride but not often!
Becomes a pain on a long journey.
Are all Kas like this or can something be done about it please?

Yes, all Ford Ka's are like that. Most Fords are, in comparison, are vastly inferior to every other car on the road.
Yes, even Skodas.

check to see if the ka has been lowerd already but as said
they are a little bumpy ride bt they does hold the road well if you have the wider lowprofile alloys on.
perhaps that's what it maybe the low profile tyres you have ?
mine has them & it's bumpy but you get used to it.
i tend to feel it more as i am more used to my ford galaxy so it's a bit of a shock after driving the gal

Not built for comfort i'm afraid. If you want a smooth ride and more comfort you have to buy a car built for it!

I have recently upgraded from my Ford Ka Collection, to Fiesta Style Climate and can honestly feel a massive difference in comfort... from little things like not rubbing shoulders with the person in the seat next to me, to the general feel on the road. I had my car from brand new and only got rid of it because it was coming up to 3 years old. All in all though, I would say, yes, all ford Ka's are a bit of a rough ride.

My mum had one and my sister has had 2, and i have to say they are a rough ride, very shoddily built but are also a fun little car. Def just the way a Ford Ka is.
