canvasdomain
or is there an alternative, car doesent really need it to be honest but my last 2 cars were petrol, a laguana and a 523i, both showed good improvements in both amount of smoke comming out of the engine and acceleration, reckon i got a slight improvement on mpg too. any body used a something like this on their mondeo, would be good to hear some views
hillmangimp
There are are certainly diesel additives available such as Redex for diesel engines (although a lot of diesel owners swear by millers additives) for improving economy, emissions etc. Don't know about the Mondeo but in the Focus handbook it says that additives should not be used under any circumstances. Despite this a lot of people still do and report no problems. TBH every time I've used additives I've never noticed that much difference (if any) but some owners insist there is so its a questions of trying and seeing. fordmann
never done it on a diesel so maybe ill stay clear, thanks Used Millers diesel Sport 4 on my Mk3 Mondeo - up until it was sold at 88K miles - never had any problems Don't use it on my new Mk4 though as under warranty and manufacturer doesn't recommend additives - would use it again in the future though
chris bowman
i was told some time ago that redex was no good for catalytic converters and i have seen evidence of connections with emmision failures on mot on several occasions where redex has been used. stay clear!
