Oil Filler Cap

Hi All,

I have a Mark 6 Fiesta 1.4 TDCI 2003. This may seem like a silly question.

Should the cap turn and tighten then turn again or just screw and not turn any more?

The cap on my petrol engine is a twist and pull to remove and a push and twist to tighten, it also stops fully once tightened.

Its possible that its designed so that you can't over torque it - come across this on some expansion tanks and old-school fuel filler caps on motorbikes.

Does it click or anything when it tightens up? and does it feel tight when you start to undo it?
