sussex
Hi all, Will post pictures soon but I did buy the black ZS on Friday, LOVE it, the 1.6 engine is lovely. Regarding USB, is do 8gb USB sticks work ok? also any limit on number of songs of size of files? Also, I drove 161 miles back with the car after picking it up and got 51.9mpg which I was very impressed with B)
dannyhilton
Congrats fella. While I'm sure you miss the old one, the ZS model would be an absolute hoot of a car! I have 8GB and 16GB sticks in my car, I notice the 126GB ones can be a bit slow to initially read (like 10 seconds, so not slow at all, just an observation) but anything say 16GB or less works perfectly for me. Haven't tried a 32GB yet. There is a limit to the amount of files though, check your handbook. I have been leaning more towards the iPod connection of late with my iPhone. I originally used only USB sticks or CDs but creating playlists, naming them and having them accessed by Voice Control is fantastically easy and user friendly. Charges the iPhone too :)
sussex
Thanks for your help. I have to shamefully admit to not reading the handbook re.USB yet I took 2 USB sticks with me when I got the car i 4gb with just 6 tracks on and my 8gb stick with about 1,900 songs on it (not in any folders just straight on the stick) and when I put the 8gb in it said USB error so dont know if thats because too many files or corrupt USB stick etc! Have washed and waxed the ZS with dodo juice B)
dannyhilton
You might have to put them in folders man, and also make sure they are all MP3 format, the USB can only read MP3. I made the mistake of putting all AAC tracks on it to begin with :)
Rogue_Shadow
Yea the USB only reads MP3...which rules out a HUGE chunk of my itunes which is very annoying Seems to work well with the few MP3 tracks I put onto a USB stick though. Wish they would make a update for ACC files on USB drives. May have to put that on the feedback form
