hi
does anyone know where the breather tubes or vacumn pipes are on my 1.6 1999 focus
a diagram or photo would be use ful

Hi, if you mean the PCV ( positive crankcase ventalation ) pipes, they are at the front of the engine underneath the inlet manifold. They are a bit trickey to get at, but can be removed by pliers or small hands.

Because these are almost out of sight they tend to get overlooked and if left will soften and split.

We replaced these on my sons 99t focus a few weeks ago. took about 10 minutes.

Its best to replace the valve at the same time. Both cost about total of £13 from Fords. John

i think you will find them near the rocker cover at the back of the engine
