1.6 Zetec Problems In 2Nd & 3Rd Gears?!?!

Hi all, I recently purchased an '05 plate Focus 1.6 zetec. The car runs well apart from when driving mainly in 2nd and 3rd gears, the car will judder for a split second then regain power. I am a bit stumped as to what this could be. It feels as if its almost losing all power for that split amount of time.

Any ideas?
