GroupB
Hi everyone, Did a pressure test on the engine, after replacing the timing belt, (Belt slipped, well cams did actually) and found I had no pressure........... I think I had Bent some Valves? BEWARE: Make sure you use a timing pin to set TDC on the crank and TDC camshaft bar before you remove the timing belt on a Mark 5 1.25 Zetec SE Fiesta !!!!!!!!! (Its no good just marking the camshaft sprockets and crank pulley with snopake, thinking you will be ok. The crank and cams are not keyed Took the head off and all of the inlet valves were bent !!!!!!!!! So I Replaced all old inlet valves with new, decoked the head and pistons, lapped (Ground-in) the valves re-assembled with lots of oil, put everything back in the correct order and back into the same place as they were removed. Rebuilt the car today and started it up. Engine started but sounds like a diesel - Ran it for a few minutes to see if it quiten down , no joy. Any ideas?
