tommk4
Bonjour, Im considering buying a whale tail spoiler for my Mk4 escort from eBay, i'm new to this lark and by no means an expert. I assume that i will need another spoiler to go under the whale tale. Is this correct? If so what type of spoiler? Cheers. Tom
mintalkin
the single whale tail has a center support that fits on to the tailgate so make sure its all complete do an internet picture surch to see what i mean
vinnyvangough
I'm not sure if the 'cosworth' whale tail will fit straight onto the mk4 as it was designed for the mk5. I may be wrong but i think there needs to be some sort of modification to get it to fit correctly.
tommk4
Sorted! Right, to answer my own question, incase anyone else was wondering. You can get 'whale tail' spoilers for mk4's, but they are quite rare apparently. I've just got one, but to fit them you need another spoler which fits onto the boot, which the whale tale fixes on top of.
vinnyvangough
Handy to know, where did you get it from and how much? Oh and get some pics up
tommk4
I found mine on eBay. Collected it from a chap in York i paid £100 in total 60 for the top part 40 for the bottom. I have no idea where it came from origionally, it may well have been custom made. I'll get some pictures up as soon as i get it fixed onto my car!
