Help Needed With Brake Lights

ford consul 61 the brake lights are not working at all, its not the bulbs as ihave checked them, is it the switch if so where will i find it, or any other suggestions

Hi there.

I am not by any means familiar with the Consul, but on a lot of more modern cars the switch is located on the rear of the brake pedal.

this vehicle will have a hydraulic operated stop light switch follow brake pipe line under hood switch will be obvious it will have two wires going to it, one live with ignition on, circuit completed when brake pedal is operated.
