ford focus edge
Hi all, recently i had my 1.6 focus in for a minor service at the local garage and the bill was 190 quid, i nearly passed out on the reception floor. Me being me i didnt bother to ring up my main dealer thinking it would cost me about 3k. My dad recently rung up for a quote on his 3.0 v6 mondeo however and was quoted 140quid for a minor service. Basically i was wondering how much you guys pay to service your foci and to weather i was completly bent over a barrel by my local where as i should of taken it into ford them selvs. Also how much have you been quoted by your local ford dealers? Mike 135 quid t my ford for a minor however arnold clarke do basically the same service for 65 quid and theres a local garage that does services from 50 quid maybe ford for a major service but some independants do just as good a job for a lot less
jay1981
Allways pays to shop round for quotes first. Sometimes main dealers aren't as expensive as you might think.

mickyfree
Just had my service done, changed front L & R brake pads. £200 for those. service was £99. This is my first time owning Ford so I didn't know what to expect from them. Does the cost of the whole thing seem too expensive to you guys?? Hang on if the service was 99 squid, they charged you 101 for JUST front break pads not discs if so they youve been really had the pads alone of the internet are approx 20 quid. They must of bumped a lump of labour on then again it is ford so labour rates are always high. Mike
