When you fit it as daft as this is going to sound check its not rubbing on the bonnet, mine did and i had to get the old touch up stick out and as another young lad that had an induction kit. Get to a open road windows down, everything turned of and boot it! it will sound smart :P

oooo didnt think of that, ive fitted a race cat-back system to my focus and thats properly loud in the multy storys i have to drive it off the clutch sometimes because of the looks i get of people haha, then when no one is looking i drop it and see if i can set a car alarm off COUGH COUGH didnt just say that

Something else u might notice is the car feels more eager to rev and a tiny tiny bit faster in gear picking up speed

Totally agree with you there fella, I've got a cone fitted to my TDCI C-Max (Mark 2RS K&N Filter) and you can hear the car coming up the street with the filter as it gives it a deeper roar.

Nico - I know, but it's the same engine as the focus... and anyhow my plans are to tweek the power but keep the looks subtle. Anyhow much as I would have liked a Focus ST, my hobby at the weekend with mountain bikes means I need a car that size to transport my bikes.

Always wondered about one of these, and on the reviews here, I may just have to try one :P

I loved my cone taken it off though now and fitting a pannel filter in the ford airbox will see how that goes.

Its shocking that something so simple as a filter can make your car sound evil, mine sounded like darth vader when the engine was on idle i was also suprised how loud it was (escort 1.6 cone on a 1.6 focus) compared to my mates 1.8 focus both with just induction kits on mine really outshouted his :P .

Quite fancy hearing one on a c-max though :P also the new fezzy
