06 Fiesta - Mp3?

Hi, ok so im a female, and blonde, so a bit of help please :)

I have just bought an 06 Fiesta Zetec, obviously it has the "aux" button on the radio but need to know how to set it up to fit my USB mp3 player... Some guy from Halfords said it has the button but nothing else behind it and it would cost me either £60-80 or £120 to do it.

I read on another internet page that there was a wire at the back of the glove box by the air bag that would connect it up...

Does this wire/connector come with all the cars or just some and is there anyway I can get my MP3 player connected without having to pay loads??

Thank you. :)

It all depends on which stereo you have. If you have fot the one that looks like it is in three pieces then it cannot be done with a conventional wire but instead by a fm transmitter. If you have what looks like a one piece unit then it can be done quite easily(about 30 pounds from your local ford dealer) by means of an aux plug into the back of the stereo. If you are not confident on taking the stereo out yourself, or which stereo you have got then pop into your local ford dealer and get them to set you straight. Hope this helps you and and anyone else with this problem

Hi Marie,

If you have a Headphone socket on your MP3 Player thats your first step in the right direction.

1)You then plug a lead like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stereo-Auxiliary-input-iPhone-players/dp/B001A5FH9S into your MP3 players headphones socket. You ca get this cable from absolutely anywhere....try Maplins they are often good, cheap and cheerful too.

2)Plug the other end into the AUX socket near your gearknob.

3)Press the AUX button on your stereo and away you go, you should have sound when you press play on your MP3 player. Obviously adjusting the volume on your MP3 player and stereo appropriately.

Hope that all made sense.
