What Could Be Wrong?

Seems to be more first thing in the morning from Cold to be honest, noticed it about a month after I had car but just put it down to my technique.

What happens is i put clutch down fully and put car into reverse, but it doesnt quite go into gear, its hard to tell so as soon as i lift clutch i get a crunching (omg im not in gear sound), i have to put clutch down again then it clunks into gear fully, so kind of a double clutch method needed.

Only reverse gear, cars still under warranty.

In the past i have been lazy with the clutch but that definately isnt the case here.

Any Help appreciated.

Thanks,

Ash

Mine does this as well !!

I was told by ford it's because there is no sycromesh on reverse and the gears are straight cut rather then beveled .

They told to just put it in first then into reverse. And if it get so bad it's under warenty anyway. Seems to work ok just when i forget and get the horrid "i'm grinding metal shavings into your gear box noise" :o

After a bit of reading seems to be a fairly common problem, will try what you do and see if it improved it.

Cheers,
