Stephen Leak Posted July 15, 2010 Share Posted July 15, 2010 I'm still having a shedload of fun discovering the finer points of my new Fiesta. The wipers and washers are a revelation in themselves. Even just an intermittent rear wiper with wash/wipe is a quantum leap from my old 1997 Mondeo hatchback*. The automatic rear wipe, when the front ones are on and you select reverse gear is little short of miraculous. Then there is the delayed "anti-dribble" wipe after using the front wash/wipe. Do I also have "programmable" intermittent front wipers? According to Parker's, this was replaced with the "anti-dribble" wipe function in September 2002. However, when I found the procedure for setting a wiper delay in the handbook and tried it, it seems to work. * The rear wiper operated continuously on hatchbacks (estates were intermittent) and the rear washer was manual and independent.
