dizzyblonde82
Hi, I picked up my new Zetec S yesterday and whilst having a closer look at it today there is a small strip of plastic adhesive running around the curve at the bottom of each door below where the locks are, it seems to run down and under where the side skirt is attached on each side. What I want to know is should this be there or not? Thanks Sarah

dizzyblonde82
It looks really odd and I haven't noticed it on other cars, looks like sellotape.

AndrewL
Yeah, it's to stop stone chips or something like that. Apparently when the model was new, lots of owners were noticing heavy stone chipping by the door seal, it's a bit of a bodge by Ford. Don't mean to be miserable but could you maybe had added this question to your other very similar thread rather than make a new one?

I did think of that but then thought that if most people are similar to me then they don't go back and read threads again unless they had actually commented on them. pikestones
Would you not have been better waiting 3 weeks and getting it on a 60 plate? Dave
dizzyblonde82
Hi, I could have waited for the 60 plate but new reg wasn't high on the priority list, getting rid of my problematic focus for the best price as quick as possible was though! Got a good deal on the car and good trade in price so am happy with the 10 reg :) Plus was great picking up the car on my birthday yesterday!
