pikestones
1. I might have the dates slightly wrong(likely as I have used previous shutdown data) 2. Is it a valencia build? 3. The "build date" is not always totally accurate, depending if you use the Shell build date or the date the Shell hits the fitting line. Firstly you have to press the panels in the press shop Then you have to weld the pressings together to make the Shell Then you have to paint the shell ,let it dry,put the second coat on,let it dry,add the third coat (If metalic),let it dry add the fourth coat (If magenta) let it dry. The painted shell is then placed in a huge warehouse until it is called by production. You then move the shell to the production line where it spends up to 36 hours being fitted out with all the bits . If you can find the photos of the old rover longbridge factory after it closed there are hundreds of pre built shells, all painted,on racks awaiting call down, quite an impressive ,but strange sight if you are not familiar with car production. Is your car due for gate release before 30 august to get the marketing allowance? Dave
adzmcp
Dave is right. Ford have been holding back gate releasing.fiestas before 30th Aug because any thing released after then is on Blue Tag pricing so Ford may build it before 30th but it will not be gate released till after 30th to then be blue tag. charlie35
I received my car 17 July.... ordered end Jan... I went for the leather pack .. I've had a.look under my seats and they are wired up. There looks like a heating element in them too... just no switch, which is an easy fix really :-) My car was delayed as Ford revised spec during order. It meant I got the stage v engine, esp and I'm guessing heated leather seats without the on / off switch... Anyone else found an element in their leather ? adzmcp
Also heated seats are now a stand alone option on Titanium. For £150. So you don't have to have leather to get heated seats now
