Fitted the Switch for the power fold mirrors today. Very easy! Just need to buy the mirrors and program the system.

Need to wait for Nath's guide though first :)

Need to wait for Nath's guide though first :)

Recorded some video during the nice weather yesterday for it. Just need some pics of the fuse box to explain the relays and will be good to go :)

Nice one, can't wait to get it all up and running.

EDIT #2: See post #29 for new video.

Any questions? ;)

EDIT: Ah, just realised when getting in my car this morning that I've forgotten to include a bit about replacing the drivers door switch/mirror adjuster. Will make a new one later!

Great vid, might be worth renaming it to just how to remove door card as well for more views.

I'm guessing this mod requires more asbuilt modification?

Thanks for the kind comments, will reupload in a couple of days with added bit about door switch,

I'm guessing this mod requires more asbuilt modification?

That's the one, byte 87 if you're changing yours.

If you want to check the folding mirror wiring, do Not forgot to check between the door and the body shell! All door wired for Folding mirror, but not all wired in the car...
you will need wired up 2 wire each door plus 2 relay, one to open and one to close!

Fantastic video Nath. Can't wait for the weekend now to see if my car is compatible.

If compatible, the only thing i think i will struggle with is reprogramming. Do you have any advise on how to go about this and what you will need. Do you think Ford could do this for me?

Cheers

You need a Ford tech who knows what they're doing (i.e. few and far between) or iNath or some other 'Ford' associated guy to do it.

IDS laptop is the key.

For anyone wondering the powerfold switch is the same I fitted to my Mk6, so I confirm it works.
