ArcticMonkeys01
After having a butchers on the forum I found a couple of posts but nothing really explaining if and how hard/easy it would be to change the steering wheel! I've got a mk6.5 as they're known , problem is that the steering wheel looks quite tatty and as I've been drving around in my moms Focus Titanium which has the mother of all leather steering wheels I've decided (after I sort my alloys out) that I'm going to be investing in the Zetec S leather steering wheel. However I just wondered if anyone had done a swap like this and how it went? Is it easy enough? Wheel* lol

Wheel* lol I havnt done that particular swap but just to say be careful when removing the airbag assembly :P also steering wheels can be a nightmare to get off (a lot of force required) and it can be kinda tricky to get the new wheel on 100% straight (very anoying if its not) having said this its not the biggest job in the world providing the zetec s wheel fits onto the mk6.5 with no alteration needed :P

I've heard that the wheel fits on ok, I don't like the sound of a wonky steering wheel though :/!
