Ian Purdie
My Mondeo diesel 115 bhp has developed a fluctuating water temp reading. It reaches normal running temp but then drops down when the car is on over run or light throttle. It only comes back up under load. Have checked water level which was OK. Can anybody throw any light on my problem?
mintalkin
this is common on the tdci and is usually down to a thermostat problem, what people do not realise is that there are two thermostats, the normal coolant one and an oil cooler one,its usually the oil cooler thermostat which plays up. reinaldo
The problem might be in the ABS connector which leads to ABS lights on. Give ABS a ground circuit. This might solve the problem. If not, then check the thermostat.
