Engine Temperature

guys do these engines run hot 1.8 16v zetec the car temp always stays in the middle the coolant bottle rises to max but not over its just that the engine feels excessively hot and I can hear the water gargeling no mix of water and oil or loss of power like i said it stays in the middle the needle on the temp section.

my celica GT4 runs hot buts thats putting out 330bhp and of course thats a different animal.

yeah the focus 1.8 gets very hot, ive been having trouble with my cooling fans and i thought that the engine was very hot bcos of this but a lot of guys who hav 1.8 zetecs tell me that they are all very hot... dont worry bout it ;)

yeah they run hot but the water shouldnt be gargling and the coolant should go over the max when its hot as it expands ide check the coolant level it should be when cold between min and max halfway between the two
