Bad_Cougar
Hi sorry to be posting this in the mondeo section but there isnt a cougar section on the board and its the closet thing!! I am having a problem with my ford cougar that i have just bought, the heater blow hot all the time even with the aircon switched on, its just one heat setting, damn hot!!! i cant get it to blow cold or cool at all. The aircon does have gas in it because if i depress the nipple inside gas does escape! Any ideas? Also my drivers window has stopped working, i was just wondering if anyone knows if the regulator is the same as that in a mondeo or any other ford as a cougar one new is damn expensive! Thanks again for any help Regards
mintalkin
sounds like a problem with the heater control valve or the connections to it.
scheemy
Hi Even if you get a slight blast of air when depressing the valve for your aircon that doesnt mean that is has enough gas in to work the system. It is also illegal to vent gas into the atmosphere so don't be broadcasting the fact. You need to see if there is any pressure in the system. You can get a cheap tool which will enable you to check the pressure of your a/c system and save you expensive garage bills. If your system is low on gas them its time visit your local aircon specialist for a regas. Don't be paying more than £45.00!!! http://www.carairconditioningsupplies.co.uk/caraircon/product.php?productid=521&cat=30&page=1 Good Luck and fingers crossed it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg!
