Hiya Chaps,,,

Finally decided to save some money and trade in my 2006 Octavia PDVrs ,, for a 2006 Fiesta 1.6tdci zetec s. Should save myself a fortune over the next couple of years, happy with it so far,, just a couple of questions.....

You guys talk about mk6 and mk 6.5 ,,, whats the difference ?

Ive got the 6000cd in the car but no aux socket anywhere, is it easy to install ?

To anyone else that has the same model ,, Im getting engine noise into the cabin, sounds weird i know but is this normal ?

Tyre pressures (i dont have a owners manual) for 195/45 16's ??

What kind of mpg should i realistically expect ?

When i turned the car on today the side light indication in the dash came on for a while, whats this for ?

Sure i'll think of some more .........

Any hints / tips ???

2006 will be the Mk6.5. really its just an updated version. Different lights, bumpers, interior etc. Much nicer car I say ;)

On the passenger door there should be a ticket/sticker stating tyre pressures.

When you first open the car the sidelights come on for a set period, think its called Home Safe, although you really cant see a thing with the sidelights anyway

Now done 300 miles in the car and averaging 60 mpg !! Exactly what it was bought for !!

But the noisy engine is starting to worry me,,, now I know what a diesel engine sounds like, its my fourth diesel car, but the noise really penetrates the cabin, could it be the turbo ?

i drove a mk 6.5 fezza for a year and have been in at leat 5 or 6 diffrent ones , and there are briiliant cars , they stick on the road like glue , but refinement are not there strong points compared to bigger cars i.e focus and octavia etc , its just down to less sound proofing nothing else , even the new mk7 fezza tdci is very noisy , its just a thing you have to get used to when u trade big car refinement and comfort , for a smaller cheaper to run car :)

Well currently I'm running my 59 1.6 tdci Titanium and a 10 Octavia VRS with uprated VW TDi CR DPF 2.0 diesel on board.. and I can say the Fez is no less refined than the VRS definitely not "very noisy".. they're both not obtrusive and although you can hear a slight gruff diesel noise when accelerating it's not annoying at all.. I actually think they sound good.. my missus loves the Fez sound.. much more sporty than the Megane CC 1.6 before..

If it get's too noisy put in a sub woofer and crank up the bass :)

well we went from a super super quiet 2009 2.0 tdci ford focus to an extremly noisy mk7 59 plate 1.4 tdci , now we have a very quite 10 plate 1.6 tdci focus :) this insnt my opinion this is fact , the noise diffrence is massive :)
