Engine Noise When Switch On Heated Windscreen

Hi all, i am new to the site as i have just purchased a Mondeo Lx 1.8. (2001) Its a beautiful car but have an annoying rattling from the engine which seems to be from the drivers side. This only occurs when i switch on the heated windscreen and when i switch it off the noise stops. When i have switched it off and turn the wheel it does make the sound very slightly but not half as bad as when the heated screen is on. Very annoying but any response would be appreciated.

hi mate it sounds to me like the crankshaft pulley this is a common fault on mondeos
