for anyone whos intrested with the mk3, On some LX and ZETEC all that is missing from having front footwell lights is the bulbs. You need two 501 bulbs, Using a torch to see what you are doing stick you head into the footwell and look up and you'll see the socket. Insert the bulb - job done! also on some focus models

Why have the sockets there and not just fit bulbs?

I'm sure ford arent saving much money by not supplying bulbs!!

Would it be possible for you to put up a pic of where i am supposed to be looking?

Just went out with a torch and had a goose in the drivers side footwell and couldnt see anything?
