hi all

ive just sorted my "swimming spark plugs" problem but im still getting uneven idling lack of power till higher revs i replaced the plugs with ngk's they ok ??

also do you think the leads are damaged from being in water for an long time ??? ,they very brown and stained. also what about the coil could the water damaged it ???

also the exhaust is an bit bassy.

what do u all think be best ??? i be ringing dealer in morning to "talk" about the problem.

needs lookaed at as the leads and coil could be knacked although the ngk are the same as motorcraft plugs that ford use new motorcraft come with the ngk stamp check the plug gap its not 1.3mm as it used to be its now 1.0mm so the plugs if they were gapped at 1.3 will causde uneven idle though the focus doesnt idle evenly anyway it will always be slightly up and down do the dash trick and watcg the revs on the dash display should be 670 - 730 rpm if its in that range and up and down the revs are fine and its likely the leads and coil though the core plugs may have been damaged as well
