lightbox
Hi all, this may be a freaky one off problem or something common, I'm not sure. My focus estate unlocks ( usually) with the remote control but whilst I am driving it has a nasty habit of locking, unlocking and locking again. This has gradually become worse and now it locks me in and the only way I can get out is to either climb across the car and get out of the passenger door, or open the window and unlock the door manually from the outside. Either way isn't clever and I am worried I will lock my keys in the car. I'm technically useless, so any answers should be aimed at someone that can't change a plug, please!!! THANKS. H3lly
A common enough problem. The first thing to check would be the fuse number 63 located at rear of fuse box. The central locking motor in the drivers door, and the central locking console above the fuel cut off switch, which is above accelerator pedal. If you got it scanned (obd2 reader)it might show some error codes which will narrow down the search.

Hi H3lly, so it could be as simple as changing a fuse - hopefully I can manage that ( once I find the fusebox!) The rest was too techie for me so I'll try the fusebox first, thanks.
