Mk7_Rbj
I have them and alot of friends have followed suit with their cars Deffo worth the investment. The biggest benefit i get from them is being able to have the windows open, even if only slightly, when it's pouring it down with rain Love a bit of fresh air, such a shame more and more manufacturers are choosing to do away with sunroof's altogether. And they do help deflect the wind when windows are fully down etc.. All in all a good purchase
Cortexx
How do you install them Rbj? is it easy?
Gazjs
Great piece of equipment. Blast along the motorway with the windows down(as far as the deflector) in the pouring rain ;) Have also heard they stop windows frosting in the winter ... time will tell. Mk7_Rbj
How do you install them Rbj? is it easy? Yes, very easy a small bit of them just slides into the gap where the window goes into and then the bit at the very bottom, by the wingmirror, sits on the rubber at the bottom of the window (hope that makes sense!) Then just put the window up and down a few times until everyhting sits in place properly Great piece of equipment. Mk7_Rbj
from ClimAir website "They help in many ways. You can leave the window open an inch or two when parked to keep the interior cool without fear of rain. You can get fresh air, not air conditioned air, into the car all the time. If it rains you can still have the window open partially without getting wet. They are ideal if you smoke for getting rid of stale air and ideal if you have pets for leaving adequate ventilation. They also help to stop misting windows when it rains, condensation in the winter, and cut down the amount of side glare from the sun." And Fitting Instructions ! Apparently the actual glass itself from freezing. Could well be true as my back window only ever has the bottom half freeze because of the spolier
cyb
Have also heard they stop windows frosting in the winter ... time will tell. I had a set on my previous car and find they did help stop the glass from freezing up on the top half/near too the deflectors How much is a set for the Mk7? iNath
How much is a set for the Mk7? Just had a quick Google, comes in tinted or transparent in 3&5dr versions, looking at £35-40 (Ford dealers on eBay)

Adam1982
Got the Tinted ones on mine tink they look good and stop rain getting in
iNath
This one seems to be the cheapest on eBay (£36.48 inc. P&P) but the part number listed is light grey, don't know if that's the same as transparent as this one (£40.98) is listed as tinted, and this one is black! 3 different part numbers so are there 3 styles to choose from? fryboi
Ok, so i bought the deflectors from fordonlineparts. the first time one was snapped in half and the other was chipped. they requested photo evidence and then sent me a new pair. this time both ends of the deflectors were in around 6 pieces, this is really annoying me now as they didn't even bother to put a fragile sign on the packaging. anyone else have this problem ? I've just had a look on the ford Parts website and the wind deflector shown for the 5 door don't look as if they have the short vertical part running down in front of the mirror. Can you provide the part number so I can double check? By the way, once they are fitted, is there any chance that they could be 'knocked off'? Thanks, BHeart
Mk7_Rbj
BHeart I have a 3dr so have the set for a 3 door. The part number is 1555757 (i think). Dont think this will help you though. Looking on Ford online parts the part number for the 5 door is 1555763. You will definately have the vertical bit if you purchase official ClimAir deflectors from Ford. Hope this helps RBJ

I checked on the fordpartsonline and the fordpartsuk websites and they state that they are Climair deflectors but they have different part numbers and one website says 'grey' and the other says 'dark tinted'. By the way, once fitted, can they be pulled off ('nicked')? It's one thing to have them stolen but, quite another to have your car damaged in the process. Thank, BHeart
Mk7_Rbj
There are two different part numbers, and colour descriptions, because the deflectors can come in two different shades; Grey or Black, Or light tint and dark tint if you will... just depends which ones you prefer. I have the lighter shade. As for being pulled off. with the window closed it would be near impossible to get them off. Atleast without damage to the deflectors, and possibly the car. It is surely very unlikely to happen though?! Unless you live in an area of high malicious vandalism

Blast along the motorway with the windows down(as far as the deflector) in the pouring rain ;) Have also heard they stop windows frosting in the winter ... time will tell. If they don’t stop the window frosting, they will certainly help it to defrost if you open your window the heat will disperse from the car and the wind deflector will force the warm air along the side of the car defrosting the window, B)
