jus bought a focus mk1 which only has one key, want to get another one coppied but as i only havge one key i can't program a key myself, is there any key cutting shops that can copy the immobiliser chip in the key or will i have to go to a ford dealer

e bay would be your best bet to get a secondhand transponder, get a new blade from any good key cutter.then in your manuel there should be a section which tells you how to programme key incase you have a flat keyfob battery.

only have one key so cant program another, been qouted £50 for a new programmed key from a mobile locksmith

if thats for a fully working key i dont think youl get it any cheaper
