Freedom10
Hello all, Im new, so sorry if this is in the wrong section. I recently bought a 2006/07 Ford Fiesta Freedom - it does not have aircon/heated front windscreen. A chip in the windscreen cracked (should've gone to autoglass!) so it needs replacing. My question is, if I spend out a bit more money on a heated front screen, is it possible to retro fit it to my car? Is all the wiring there in the dash? I note there is a redundant space next to the button for the rear heated screen where the button for the front heated screen goes, so just need to get a button from Ford. Anyone done this before? thanks for your help.

Dan62
On previous Ford's I've owned none have had the additional wiring installed. Check the fuse locations (F42 & F43 I think and the relay location R164) for pins, if they have put the connectors in the fuse box then maybe the wiring will be there too. I did did manage to fit a heated front screen to my 1990 Fiesta 1.1 Ghia (it was not available on the 1.1) my friend who worked at Ford Dunton got me the wiring diagrams and I purchased the relay, switch & screen. Was a fairly simple job but because the wiring was not installed I could not fit the relay in the fuse/relay box. I also fitted a rear delay wipe to my 1989 Escort.
