Please Help..... Engine Light

Hi Guys,

I have got a Focus.
Now its reached the colder climates the engine light comes on, but when I put the heater is on the light goes out.
Anyone have an idea what it could be?
Any help is great....

Hi Megab

are you sure it is the engine management light?(picture of engine with a lightening bolt through it)

Yeah its the little engine picture, i spoke to a mechanic and they say its just a oxygen block but they have cleared it...
