how about the members clearing they're posts. For instance if tou make a post and have recieved the replies you require, maybe you could clear it to reduce the number of answered posts on the various forums, however i am a newbie and maybe you can.

Its helpful to leave the topics open and running. A new/existing member may have the same question a few months down the line and can use the "search" function to find the topic etc, instead of posting the same/similar question again.
