ANDY7931
Hi Andy probably nothing just needs cleaning. i would just shove some MILLERS additive through it.(which fuel do you normally use is it supermarket). tom HI TOM I use BP as i know that the supermarkets are not as clean. I have put some STP injector cleaner through it and then went to lincoln which is about 280 miles round trip from me but it didnt seam to make too much diffrence. It is doing about 43 mpg around town and about 52 mpgs on the motorway. Its just that when I remove the vaccume pipe it stops smoking which is odd? but it is using oil so I am a bit stuck on what to do any ideas ????? thanks Andy

mintalkin
if you have put a new egr valve on it should have been the modified one supplied, if the car is using oil and the smoke is when the turbo kicks in it could be the turbo oil seals that are starting to wear. tommy.h
Hi Andy i would check with the dealer who sold it to you, also check at your local ford dealers. they normally have a technical department & can be quite helpful sometimes if you get the right person. tom
