ashley156
HI, just after some advice....... My Girlfriends 1996 Fiesta has just been vandalised and the little gits tried to hotwire it (the fools) in the process have ripped the ignition wires and steering colum. My Girlfriend in her wisdom had failed to confirm the change in insurance... so was not insured at the time!!! It would be easy to just scrap the car but i am tempted to have a bash at repairing or at least trying to repair. My question is this.... is it worth it? Financially i know it is not, but as a little project would it be possible for a novice like myself to have a go? As 3 of the windows were put through i'm thinking it's not worth the effort! Any thoughts It is a 1996 1.3LX BTW it was one of 4 cars vandalised that evening....scambags!
vinnyvangough
Its sad when all these vandels are out to destroy peoples pride and joys. To be honest its not worth doing, but it could be an idea to try just to test your own skills. You could be surprised at what you can achieve. Russ
Your lucky the buggers didnt set fire to it, our neighbour had an escort in their driveway, 3 13 year olds broke in and tried to hotwire it and a spark set the car alight, i came back from work at 7am to find a nice BBQ had been extinguished and almost set their house on fire! ( cops know who did it but can't touch them )
Rikos
Little vandals!! Why smash 3 windows?? It takes one to get in and a failed attempt at hot wiring it! They're not getting any more clever these criminals! Really sorry to hear this though mate and probably not worth the cost but as you say for a little project you could keep it but dont forget to get it SORN and keep it off the road
