David McMahon
Hello everyone, new here so don't assume I know my inlet from my exhust! I got a MK2 Ghia estate and the central locking don't work :( The car would lock then immediately unlock again. I managed to put it into test mode via 8 pushes on the bonnet sensor, and opened each door with a beep except for the rear nearside door, (I assume new sensor needed) I have removed the sensor to go buy a new one tomorrow, only thing is when I "shorted" the two pins the locking still didn't work. :( Is the sensor more elaborate then just on/off (open/Closed?) Is there anyway to reset the ECU in times like this? Thanks in advance, David McMahon

David McMahon
Hi David Know it's a bit late but is this any good? tom Thank you for reply, so far we have changed the nearside rear door striker and the offside front door motor assembly (in the door) the striker was £14 and the motor was £50 so getting expensive and still it wont work :( The Central locking works perfectly with the front passenger door with key and from inside. With the driver door it locks, then unlocks immediately with key or inside handle.
