the thermostat may be stuck open, not allowing the engine coolant to warm up. is the engine temperature gauge reading normal.

Probably the Heater Control Valve is stuck open or the Heater Control Panel fitted to the back of the heater control knob, needs replacing. Start with the HCV valve as these are a really common prblem.

^^^ This just done the heater valve on my daughters Ka not too expensive either ....easiest way to check is heater valve is located on bulkhead ...check pipe going in and pipe coming out ..if pipe is hot going in and cold the other side then it is the Valve

how much was it to replace then mate.? is it the same for a PUMA.?

Puma, Fiesta and KA all use the same part. Less than £40 from Fords.
