Shiny Dashboard Problem

Hi there,

I have a Focus C-Max, 2007 model (07). It has always been a niggle, but is much worse in this low winter sun weather. The part of the dashboard making up the lid of the storage compartment, and the plastic next to it, catch the sunlight and reflect on the windscreen, sometimes making it very difficult to see. Is there any treatment, or any other idea to solve this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated...

Perhaps you could try some black spray you get for tyres and trim ?

Alternatively some faux fur and matching dice to hang from the rear view mirror :D

Hi , dont use anything that puts a shine on the dash , i clean the top with warm water and a bit of washing up liquid and the rest with mr sheen , does as good a job as any car cleaning products and a lot cheaper . If you use tyre cleaner stuff they tend to be shiny and will make the glare on the screen worse .
