amusingduck
Hey all, Been having a few problems today with idling. Car starts, idles at 1400-1500 on a cold start (which is normal for my car), drives fine, once the idle point drops to 900-1000, it seems that it can try to stall when coming to a stop/stop in traffic. It happened about 5-10 mins into my journey on the way to work this morning, engine died, restarted and fine thereafter. It happened again 5-10 mins into my journey home, revs dropped to 600ish, lights dim, engine makes the strained noise as it would if you're about to stall, and this time i didn't let it die. Once the car warmed up to normal (half way through the temperature gauge, 02 digital gauge), the problem didn't happen again. I'm thinking the ICV is dirty/needs replacing? Are there any guides with images, or simply an image of the ICV location and the tools required to clean it? TPS doesn't seem to fit the symptoms, i can't think of anything else that would cause this problem. Could a coilpack do this? I know its a common fault but i don't think it fits either, only thing that makes sense to me is the ICV or ECU. Thanks!
