We need to replace the drivers window in my MK3 Fiesta. Managed to remove all screws and fittings from door panel but the window winder is proving impossible to get off. There seems no visible way of loosening it.
Has anyone else had this problem - all suggestions welcome. We want to replace the broken window before it starts pouring with rain again!
Thanks

I know on the Escorts and older Fiesta's, there is a small surclip behind the handle holding it on to the spindle.
Get a small screwdriver behind and try to catch the end of it and lever it off.
Just be ready to catch it when it goes.
Hope this helps,

Easy job to do. Another handy tip is to hold the screw driver in behind and turn the winder to catch the surclip on the end of the screwdriver and to pop it off.
