Fiesta Mk7 'paint Issue'

Hi

(I may have originally posted this in the wrong forum the other day, so hopefully it's in the correct forum now)?

UPDATE! No it's not - I entered the 'detailing forum' and the created the post below but when I clicked to post it, it ended up in the same forum that it was in before??? :(

I washed my Fiesta for the first time in a month or so and it was then that I noticed a sort of silver spots on the paintwork of the car. I found some on the side doors, the wings, the bonnet, the roof, back door and bumpers. As my car is parked in our company car park, I asked around some of our staff and I was told that back in December, a company was painting the 'mobile mast tower' at the bottom of our car park and it was said that after they had started painting, they stopped to put a protective shield underneath where they were painting - obviously after they realised that paint spots where falling on our cars, so it looks like that is where the paint spots came from.

I know I should not have done it but, I managed to remove a few with my finger nails but I then stopped. It was not easy and I gave up on some of the spots.

I would like some advice on what I can use to soften the 'paint spots' so that they can be removed easily, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, BHeart

White spirit, it's great on tar spots too. But make sure you do a deep clean after and seal the paint
