hi

just picked up my focus, 57 plate 1.8tdci, last night. but the radio won`t work. no power at all. the place i bought from said there was no secondry live or something. he reckoned it was a fuse somewhere but can`t get the wiring diagram till monday from ford then he wants me to drop it off and leave it with him for the day but i have to use the car for work and he doesn`t have loan car til the week after next. any idea where this fuse might be ? thought if i could do it myself it would save a lot of hassle. i checked the fuse under the glove box with no joy. its a 6000cd

cheers

on focus mk 1 fuse is f31 @15 amps in the central fuse box, generally behind glove box, depress the sides of the glove box to gain access. hope this helps, however if your fuse is blown then you will need your code to reset the radio.

i have the code but theres no power to the unit. i don`t think its a mk1 , or is it lol. i dunno tbh

no your car is not a mk1 however the location of the fusebox could be the same, i will do some research!

right like i said i dont own your type of car however a 15amp fuse is colour coded blue. using a process of elimination you will probably have maybe only 6 15 amp fuses in the box, one of six will be blown but i recon f31 would be my first port of call good hunting!
