Fuel guage

ive not long ago traded a 1.1 53 plate 206 for a v reg 1.8 focus lx ive had it for around 4 weeks now even tho the focus is older car i love it to bits feels a lot more comfier and better build quality than the 206 and handles about 200 times better

however ive filled up the tank and drove about 60 miles since i filled it and the guage is still showing the tank full to the brim ive read that theres a common fualt where the guage indicates that the tank is empty when its full

any ideas please and is it a major job to fix

60 miles may not make it move, try another 40 miles and see if it then shows.

if you fill to the brim then it may have gone a lot more past the full mark that the meter shows, therefor you have to burn off what is in the filler neck etc.
