cal-67
I have recently purchased a 52 plate Focus 1.6 16v petrol. One owner from new and full service history / proof of mileage. The previous owner was almost 90 years old. The car has now done just over 6800 miles. Ford state 100k or 10 years for a cambelt change. As my car has only done under 7000 miles but approaching the 10 year limit should I have the cambelt changed ASAP ? and would all the pulleys and the tensioner need changing at such a low mileage. johnH
i would say as its nearing the 10 year point i would replace as soon as. and since you are you may aswell get the pulleys and tensioner done with it to save money later.

cal-67
Thanks for your replies. The reason I have the Focus is because the belt went on my 1.8 16v vectra B, after only 20,000 miles after having a full timing kit fitted !!!... don't want that happening to the Focus!! I'll be getting the full kit and belt done ASAP.
